"This class focused on important and invaluable
life skills necessary to be a successful educated individual.
I learned about interview techniques, the graduate school application
process, leadership skills and even proper dining etiquette.
My favorite part of the class was the presentation, a semester
long project where I was able to pick my topic of choice, Genocide:
The Khmer Rouge Revolution. Through this project I was able to
develop a presentation that I made to my classmates where I shared
my passion for the study of genocide and preventive action against
the violation of human rights. The class served as a wonderful
experience and I was able to develop necessary life skills."

"Windows to the World is a course in which
you become the textbook. It is geared toward developing and honing
your personal focus. This course exposes you to the many prestigious
scholarships offered and, more importantly, comprehensibly outlines
the steps necessary for a successful application. You hear from
dynamic guest lecturers, all experts in their fields, ranging
from how to get into Graduate school, to successful interview
techniques. And what other course offers the opportunity to develop
a personal relationship with the Dean of the Honors College.
The course culminates in an etiquette dinner in the President's
Dining Hall, leaving you feeling confident and excited for whatever
your professional future may hold."

"Windows to the World endowed me with a
renewed vigor towards self-actualization, well-roundedness, and
service to others. The semester long journey exposed me to the
many facets of life that made Windows to the World such a life-changing
experience, from the Etiquette Dinner with the renowned Marylyn
Mackee to touring the moving works that adorn the Albin Polasek Museum to
watching a Guys and Dolls performance with members of the Learning
Institute for the Elderly (LIFE). And what tied all of these
events together, was the opportunity to befriend some of the
most amazing, inspiring students I've ever met."
